Laurelhurst is an affluent residential Neighborhood in Seattle and has been since 1910. In recent years, the neighborhood has been experiencing growth in retail and customer service due to the successful expansion of the local mall, U-Village. It is a tight-knit community with a strong Community Center and PTA. The median home price is $785K, over double the regional figure of $345K. The biggest news in Laurelhurst is the possible deal of Children's Hospital buying Laurelon Terrace condominiums for 93 million. They have already bought 22 of 136 units, with five pending. The idea is to expand the hospital to a 6 acre site over the next 20 years.

*Laurelhurst Park and Community Center*
This 13 acre park has picnic areas, walking trails, tennis courts, softball fields, soccer field, and open areas for social functions. The community center has a variety of rooms to reserve for your private functions.

Unfortunately you have to live in Laurelhurst to be part of this private club. For those visiting the area Magnuson Park is just to the north and is Seattle 2nd largest park. |
