Eastlake
Seattle's Eastlake community is so named because of its location on the eastern shore of Lake Union. The neighborhood contains a diverse mix of residential and commercial use. Floating homes, apartments, condos, and houses along with many small business are nestled between the Lake Union shoreline and Eastlake Avenue. Though populated by all manner of Seattleites, Eastlake is a particularly attractive location for people with ties to The University of Washington, which can be reached quickly by a number of bus routes.
Things to see and do in Eastlake
*I-5 Colonnade Mountain Bike Park*
Featuring 1.5 miles of trail. The park offers a full range of technical trail techniques. This new model focuses not on mileage but rider experience and progression of one's skills.

*Lynn Street Park*
. Originally opened in 1970 the park has been renovated numerous times over the years. Most recently in 2002 when a beer truck's brakes went out and crashed down the hill and damaged the park!

*ECC Annual Elections Meeting*
Oct. 9 (Tuesday) 7-9 p.m., TOPS-Seward School, 2500 Franklin Ave. Candidates for City Council and School Board will debate and field your questions, and ECC holds its annual board elections. |

Prices have fallen off slightly from August 2007 to August 2008 for Residential and Condo prices.
