Things to see in Fremont *Statue of Lenin* The controversial statue was salvaged from Slovakia by a local art lover who was teaching there at the time. After the fall of Communist government in 1989, the statue was brought to Fremont. *Fremont Troll* This 18-foot tall concrete sculpture of a troll crushing a Volkswagen Beetle in its left hand was created in 1990. It is located at the North end of the Aurora Bridge *Summer Solstice Parade* This years festival is June 16th and 17th. It has become famous for it’s nude solstice cyclist.
